Emu Plains Community Baptist Church has been ministering to the people of Emu Plains and the surrounding suburbs since August 2001.  Our first pastor was Rev John Giles, who came out of retirement to serve the new and growing church in a part-time capacity.

By 2004, the church had grown to the extent that we were able to call our first full-time Pastor.  Rev Steve Turnbull commenced his ministry with EPCBC in February of that year.

The services were initially held in the Emu Plains Community Centre, which served the congregation well until the growing numbers meant that the space was no longer sufficient. On 23rd October 2005, the services were moved just down the road to Melrose Hall.

Steve Turnbull remained as pastor until October 2010, moving on to become a chaplain in the Defence Force.

From October 2010, the Leadership Team organised a number of guest preachers whilst looking to find an interim pastor.

In April 2011, Rev Dr Ian Duncam commenced commenced as in Intentional Interim Pastor and continued in that role until May 2012.

On 1st July 2012, Rev Phil Irvine commenced his ministry as pastor of the church, along with his wife Lis and 4 children. Phil continues to be the pastor to this day.
